I couldn't find another feedback thready for Rody, at Groovy Cycleworks, so I started this thread to give him public props.
Late 2008, Rody sold some items cheaply on his Groovy Cycleworks blog;
Stuff that was described as "scratched or dented".
If you have ever followed Rody's blog, you will know what a perfectionist he is.
So anything he describes as "not 100%" would have passed most other framebuilders' Quality Control without ANY problems.
Long story short:
* My Luv Handle bars never arrived in Europe;
* Rody offered to send out another pair - No questions asked.
Bear in mind that the original bars were sold cheaper than norrmal and he would have to fabricate a new pair for me, at no charge.
* After some delays caused by some lost emails and me trying to move house, I still didn't have the new bars. This took until summer 2009 - Totally my fault.
* Eventually, Rody posted a message on his blog, saying "I have some un-claimed bars waiting for someone in Europe - Contact me!!!".
Today, I finally collected my Luv Handles from the Customs/ Import office.
The welding is amazing; the ergonomics are great; the finish is flawless.
I'm sure they will become an all-time classic.
Next time, I'm going for the Ti version
.
Rody, THANK YOU - You're a total legend.
