Well some time back late last year I picked up a nice 18.5" 1993 Altitude frame. Turns out it was a member on here :-)

So after weaiting and waiting with all my things boxed up waiting to move house and things are still waiting for the land registry...

I build the frame up when the sun came out last week. I had a loverly plan for it, but like all plans it changed rapidly as I couldn't find things or things where just not going to work.

You don't need the story but it starts with my MAG steerer where not going to fit this 'short' headtube of a 18.5". Either way to long or too short and the only thing I had was a lovely set of 97 judy sl. so on they went, it follows that after completely taking apart a nice set of m900 cantis and rebuilding them I forgot the fork was VBrake only (I even fitted the rear). Good job nobody was looking.
Then I had no 8speed m737 left to fit onto the Hope Ti freehub body, so went sod it and 9 speed but it ment loosing GripShift..

Anyways, here is what I have for testing it out. I'm building a mathing from for the rear.

<---will do rest later but need to switch out of mobile view--->

It's all cabled up now and ridable on it's er test ride as it gets dark. Not much to alter, cables held, brakes worked, M950 Vs are crap, brake well and very smooth to use, but there is just nothing you can do about the linkage bar and it play it give to the brake block. Unless I can bodge a spring in like the M951s

Re:

I don't like the stem in the pictures but in real life it looks different and it all sort of works.

I'm not sure on the forks yet (they are quite long for the bike) but I'll see again tonight.

Re:

Well done! I was waiting for this build thread after you posted a pic of it in the generic Rocky pics thread. Like the 93, really a frame I 'd love to add to my collection. Good we're looking for different sizes. Fork looks a bit long but why not?
