Not like you think - They used to fail and injure people, RS got sued and issued a product recall

I have one in my toolkit in 1 1/8th from a fork I got a few years ago...

I knew nothing, this fork was mounted on my G. Fisher RS1 '92, at that time was the top and there are still around.
Where was the technical problem, you know?

I think they were prone to cracking... Specialized had some of their FutureShock forks recalled as well because of this. Those were made my RS back then. The FutureShock forks had the problem of the crown separating from the legs if/when not correctly inserted and tightened (I think).

I still have a few of those crowns too. Never had a problem with them (not the FutureShocks either), and I think these look way cooler than the rounded MAG21 crowns ;-)
