Rock bands re-united

Been about 20 years since I saw Pink Floyd and Rush . . .

Rush were awesome and Floyd were pretty cool..

Alice Cooper was great too..

Lot can happen in 20 years though

Iron Maiden, but they are slightly younger than many of the others mentioned above

Deep Purple ain't that bad either and hope to see the Scorps one last time before they pack it in

Black Sabbath - still great

Haven't played under that name for some time, Heaven and Hell were just Sabbath mark 2, but alas no more with the passing of RJD
Can't see them ever playing with Ozzy again, so sorry to say the Sabs are long gone

Most band reformations are blatantly about "the money" and usually stink.

Not seen too many as a matter of principle but

The Cult - Love : Billy Duffy still rocks. Ian Astbury is very very sad.
Sisters of Mercy - Very very poor.
Waterboys - F..king amazing with Steve Wickham on fiddle.
Janes Addiction - How very very sad it came to this.
U2 - Overblown, overkill but love or loathe Bono, you can't ignore him.
The Mission - Best live band of their generation. Farewell tour was amazing (saw 8 of the last 9 shows)
Soft Cell - this was a while back. Very very good.
Bauhaus - never saw them first time round but good for a laugh on their reunion tour 4 years ago.

They reformed a few years back with a different bass player if memory serves, released an album called Strays, which is rather good, won some awards, then split up again, then reformed again, then split again, etc etc......

They haven't released many albums - only one studio album before Ritual called Nothing's Shocking and a collection of stuff called Kettle Whistle, check out Porno for Pyros if you like Jane's stuff, it was Perry Farrell's band after Jane's split originally.....

I have got Nothings Shocking (the name jogged the noggin  )

Got to get hold of some 'new' stuff to listen too..

And must dig out some Rush cd's . . .

Came over to the UK to see Janes at Rock City in 2002 so have kept up with them since their peak. I have all the PFP stuff, plus Perry's electronic dance album and Daves nu-metal solo albums.

Quite enjoyed Strays and the Notts gig TBH (but way down the ladder compared to the Ritual de lo Habitual tour) but they split due to acrimony between Perry and Dave (AGAIN).
Then they got back together again (after various unsuccesful side projects - anyone heard of Panic Channel? Thought not) with original bassist Eric Avery for a few gigs which were all about nostalgia (note to self, about time I bought "Cabinet of curiosities" collection. Then Avery left again and they replaced him with Duff from Guns n Roses. Apparently in the studio at the moment writing new material.

Oh and a correction - "Live XXX" which preceded "Nothings Shocking" is definitely a "proper" album.

They were awesome on the Ritual de Lo Habitual tour - saw them 4 times. Hitched up to Sheffield to see them at the Leadmill on the Nothings Shocking tour but couldn't get in. In between, went to see the Wonder Stuff at the Brixton Academy as Janes were warming up. Didn't get in till after they finished due to guest list cockup. But the MTV series Dave did when he married Carmen Electra, the VIP only gigs they keep doing in LA, the whole circus just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Won't be making the trek next time.

Best place to catch Vince these days would be TPC Scottsdale. His house is just up the road, and he's there most days.

He did do a tour with Rob Zombie here in NA this summer, though, so he's still at it.
