Would make a nice project and I'm going to say £150+ even in this condition...

Already over with a few hours to go. Will make a great project. Hopefully someone on here will get it.

Re:

I wanted to post earlier and say I always enjoy seeing an old Roberts covered in dust with the odd gem or two attached just waiting for somebody to rescue it!

Did you get it then Minifreak?

It went for a bit more than I thought considering it will almost certainly need some new paint??

I was out of decent reception and my last 6 second bid of £333 didn't go through, bit gutted at first but see it as fate so not too upset.

Re:

I've lost loads like that, now adopted the thinking: if you want it bid early and bid what you are will to pay, if you are beat someone else wanted it more.

Re:

Nice - it was a Roberts/Vaz built White Spider 19.5"
full spec. of what you got was:
My favourite Pace RC30 Reynolds 531 1 piece fork legs

....Other bits included:
XT SG chainset
Hope Ti BB
Hope rear Tiglide hub on a worn Ritchey rim, and Hope skewer
Tioga Prestige T-Bone
Italmanbrui bars
knackered grip shifters but good original Suntour XCltd brake levers - modern XCPro cantis, not the originals
XT II f.mech, later DeoreLX rear
XT II seat post with tatty Rolls saddle and Campag seat binder

Interesting project and yes worth the money for such a legendary Columbus MTB frame & fork, even factoring in a gloss white paint job, set of decals and balance of an XTII group to restore it
