Steel frame, steel XT seatpost......the easiest combo to get unstuck.

No chemistry needed.

Advert updated to say that the seatpost moves freely.

Nice project. Bi-oval Max OR downtube so likely a White Spider II :

a more race orientated frame with a special lighter mix of tubes
Columbus Max oval/round/oval downtube for extra stiffness
Oversize top tube
Reshaped short chainstays
Pace RC30 fork
Top routed cables

The catalogue photo shows similar Gen 1 RC30s, a t:bone stem and front-facing seat clamp.

Would make a nice project and I'm going to say £150+ even in this condition...

Just down the road from me, hope I win it as I've agreed a possible deal on this plus another bike of his. Really want a DOGS BOLOX but they are too steep for me right now so I'd be well chuffed with this even in pink
