weekend race ...... All I can add to that is a big RESPECT

Just goes to show how tough and well designed these frames were, but then they build in a finite life with "moderns" not like BITD, when everything was built to last. Keep the pics coming!

It was a fun write up and a fantastic road trip. Great people and so many cool bikes.

No doubt it was a lot of driving. There is a freeway that runs N-S on the Western coast of the United States from Canada to Mexico so fairly direct route. A few times on the way down during the early hours where it was tough to keep the eyes open. Scared the heck out of my friend in the rear seat. :? Eventually just pulled over on the side of the road and shut the eyes for a little while.

After he flatted he threw his bike on his shoulder an told his boy he should go on ahead, I chimed in and agreed he should go and that I'd walk with Tim back to the finish line..

He turned and said he started the race with his dad, he'd stayed with him the entire time, and he was gonna finish it with him. Timmy had a mechanical on every event that weekend, but as far as I'm concerned he won
