Looks like Risse are just about my only hope of getting a replacement shock should my FSR one ever die or I fancy a change. Anyone have any opinions on the quality of their air shocks or customer service etc?

Thanks,

Dr. Matt...

Risse make very good shocks. Strong, well engineered and reliable. Cant comment on their customer service but when i bougt a shoch for my old Norco they were great!

Risse makes top notch products. I have dealt with him for 18 years and never had any problems whatsoever.

I had a shock 'serviced' by them about 8 months ago which cost me about £75 including shipping to and from the US, they were quick to respond to emails, and sent it back soon enough, but the shock came back worse than it left and the only movement anyone got out of it is when it blew. They also ignored all subsequent emails.

They are a mixed bag. When they work, they work great. When they don't, Kevin will keep tweaking until the tune is of your liking. The only problem is you Uk guys will dump a ton of cash in shipping costs. CVI used to do all the distribution and service work in the UK and such, but they closed up on ya.

As for the emails, Kevin did move from California to Oregon a few months ago, and has cleared his backlog. He was never any good at answering emails, as the phone was my best chance of getting through. I heard that he has limited his product offerings and is taking more contract CNC work.
