Rim Tape

Not a huge fan of the sticky tapes as ive spent 1/2 hour cleaning the remains off my lemon rims :x
The one piece plastic/poly ones are very good.Theyre quite rigid in that its too stiff to be forced down each spoke hole and it doesnt leave a residue.More reusable than the sticky tapes too.

Tapes like electrical are good for electrics but not for rims :? not trying to stir things but i feel rim tape is suppose to be rigid.Personally i cant think of a tape that is super thin, as if it was good to use then the uber light roadies would be using it and they dont,they use cloth tape for the most part :? far heavier than a few wraps of electrical tape.So there must be a reason :? Logic sorry

The pro's will ride what they are paid to ride. Does a pro build his wheels? Don't they just get on ride and then get off? train, ride, train, ride...... Do not the teams have a back up like F1?
I use tape as i found it suits me. I haven't a clue what the 'pro's ride. Don't care what they ride.
If a manufacture what's to pay me to ride some thing they make then if the price is right i will.
