he had a coke problem which is a real shame.

I wouldn't go as far as to say Christian was a friend, but we knew each other, and I rarely met a nicer guy in the east coast scene. Regardless of the truth, he deserves better than being slammed as a coke addict 15 years later.

:?

I'm not trying to slame him, but I know 3 people who put 50% deposits down on a frame, and they never got there bikes, or there money back cause of this. They even went as far as showing up at his house and listening to him roll through many excuses as to where there money went. Don't get me wrong he is a nice guy, but this is the reason he no longer makes bikes plain and simple. :(

I still kick myself for not buying one of his Headshock bikes that one of my buddies was selling 5 years ago. It had a rasta paint scheme and just looked tit.

The story we all heard around the races was that he took a huge order, some with deposits, some without. After ordering all the tubing, I hear many backed out, and he couldn't float the costs.

but thats just what it is, someone's account 10 years later on the inernet, which is worthless. Hopefully Christian reads this someday and understands his company and frames were highly revelled in their day.

I've heard this problem from a lot of people as well. He made a lot of great bikes, but he screwed a lot of people. Not saying he was a bad guy, he just had his issues and burned some folks. Once again though great bikes!

i was bidding on an old dirt rag that had a review of a juke and results of a race i ran in 92' the other bidder turned out to be christian. i raced for him back then, and he contacted me about the auction. he shared his loss of everythin rhygin in a fire and a few house moves. i agreed to let him win the auction, and he would send me a copy of the race results. just like the old christian, he hasn't done that nor has he returned any emails. he made a great bike, but he was never a great business man. how many welders did he go through in the day?
