Shame about the seat tube.
Looks like too big a post was "smashed" in to begin with. I've drilled quite a few of these seat posts out.

Dealt with a lot of stuck posts and pprising the seattube apart has never crossed my mind as a good idea, if a post is properly stuck it won't make a noticeable difference.
