Revive 1996 GT LTS-1

He guys, I am in the US... I have had this bike for a while with the intentions of cleaning it up... I am looking for NOS parts or custom where I can get original. I did fine a NOS decal kit (minus the LTS-1 sticker for the top tube (If anyone has one please let me know). I also ordered a green bushing kit from eBay, but I am not sure if it will all fit... And I found some ROCKSHOX Judy XC decals (on the way)... I decided to start taking it apart today and this is what I found. Also if I wanted to touch up or paint the forks and stem what color would work? anything I can find? if not I will need to come back to them later on with some custom work.

Chain stay is a bit ate up... for now I will file it flat but not smooth, I don't want to remove too much metal:


The bottom main pivot is jacked (Anyone have a replacement bushing?) I have the plastic parts on the way - If the y fit... but this one metal bushing is junk.

If anyone has the bushing or the top tube sticker please let me know... same for the chain stay... I would love to have a few parts ont he shelf too so PM me if you can help with and 1996 GT LTS-1 parts you have.

You can order decals here from a member Gil_M. Good luck with reviving this bike. I am currently working on a LTS Thermoplast.

I am working on my Thermoplast, too. And I also have bad chainsuck plus some bad scratches. Really dont know what to do about it ...

Thanks guys, I would like to do the Thermoplast next...nice frame, will see how this one goes. I did get a pm over to Gil_m... Will post back on that when I have more.

I have made a little ground on the bike past few days, I still cant locate the top tube sticker (LTS-1) but I am looking.... The decal kit went on well... almost perfect, the 6061 sticker a tad off . I need to sort the bottom pivot out any of you folks have the cone shaped thing for a 1996 GT LTS? Anyway here is what I have so far...

Also you guys think I should go with Yellow, Red or black on tire color... thinking black myself so far...
