RetroBikeShow York 2025

Can I say a great big thank you my retro brothers from other mothers, you made wee Angus so welcome, he’s has been having a troubling time with bully’s and school,we moved him to another school recently and have started to see him improve and be less anxious . But he was very anxious about coming with me to York but on arrival the welcome he got melted any worries away . I think he must have done at least 20 miles going round that circuit they had in the middle of the field as he was thrashing out the laps . Hopefully as long as the dates don’t clash with work we’ll be there for the entire weekend

York Cycle Rally not going to be at York in 2026 and there after.
Driffield is not first on the lips of significant places to have a cycle rally less easy to get to by train.
Mountain Mayhem dead and York Cycle Rally dying is what it seems to be happening, is the Malverns safe ?

that's a real shame - fwiw Manchester Velodrome cycle jumble event is on Jan 4th - https://www.bikecreche.co.uk/ hope to see some of you folks there.
I am also going to organise a series of evening cycle jumbles bi-monthly in Altrincham in 2026 - with music, bar and convivial surroundings - will be advertised via North West group chat more anon.

Just reading that, has it actually been announced?

It'll be shit show at Driffield and I guess fall back to the 'rally' and rides for the few.
It's hard to get to unless you drive (easier for me though).

It is whatever they have to do. But as you say it just got going again and this will kill it.

Helmsley would be a better place, more around, better for MTB, nice road/gravel riding, just as hard to get too probably cost way to much for and even on Duncombe (the usual event space) though and for anyone attending .

There is nowt at Driffield to go explore for others in the family, past a day to a cafes and walk down the river.
There will be very little just passing and going from the locals.
