Retrobike resolutions 2025?

I feel quite good about how last year went as I achieved most of what I wanted.

In 2025 I'd like to....
-finish putting together my Curtis RaceLite 24
-finish painting and assemble my Z1 QR20 forks
-apply finishing touches to my Curtis SuperX
-make a start on my Kona Entourage project
-continue selling the parts I don't need
-get a new bike rack for the car
-try get out and ride a bit more

Non bike related.....
-work out my sailing dinghy problem, maybe sell my Enterprise and get a single handed boat instead
-get the kids into skiing or snowboarding

Hopefully going to be a good year.
A mix bag for me, but the year isn't over yet.

-finish putting together my Curtis RaceLite 24 - FAILED
-finish painting and assemble my Z1 QR20 forks - Failed, although I did buy the paint
-apply finishing touches to my Curtis SuperX - COMPLETED, it even won RBotM 98+
-make a start on my Kona Entourage project - STARTED
-continue selling the parts I don't need - STARTED
-get a new bike rack for the car - COMPLETED
-try get out and ride a bit more - FAILED

My dodgy knees have stopped me getting out on the bike but I've do a lot of sailing instead, this has helped regain some strength in my joints.

I had been thinking about selling some bikes, but I then found my unicorn which snapped me out of those evil thoughts.

Oooh update time!!

Well, I'm still waiting for my new shed... 2024 had plenty of cash-draining requirements for me. Hopefully 2025 will bring it at last.

I got and built my shed - I love it!

I'll probably need to move a few bikes on in 2025, especially if I want to bring more in.

No bikes have been moved on - fail

I have 5 or six project ideas, but need space to do them.

I have the space and have completed 2/5 projects - three others on the go

Ride more and enjoy what I have is easy to say, but I've realised that restoring bikes and riding bikes are actually two separate things I enjoy.

I did ride more this year, mainly cos it didn't rain all summer like it did in 2024.

My stretch goal for 2025 would be to go on a frame building course and learn how to filet braze properly....maybe I'll fit that in.

Yeah, no. Didn't manage this, maybe next year!

Ive got rid of a few more bits...

Plus I joined a local touring club in Jan... so im ave 100 miles a week now...which is fab....their weekly rides out are over half that...which helps get my total up and provides much needed motivation.

I've also signed up for my first Audax in a few weeks...really looking forward to that.

Ive also gone over to the dark side as i suggested above and have built a "modern" bike...all be it with a retro twist......annoyingly I really love it....bugger!
