I don't think it's worthy of a title like 'clunker'. At best, it's simply a very cheap town bike with chunky tyres. You really wouldn't consider riding anything with those alwful Weinman caliper brakes and chromed steel rims would you ?

If you live nearby, then it's worth £20 simply as bike to get to the shops or pub - but you'll find much nicer things if you want an old MTB. At least make sure you go for something with aluminium alloy components, rims and cantilever brakes. That's just my opinion though - I don't mean to sound snobbish...
