Retro steed to fit a 6 footer.

I have a friend who has recently moved here from Poland and he wants a bike for commuting purposes. Wisely he has opted to see what he can get second hand rather than going for a Halfrauds special.

So what have y'all got that'll fit a 6 foot two guy in the 60 to 150 quid bracket?

Something near Glasgow would be good and if not then assume that the 60 to 150 would include postage.

Yup, complete bike. Obviously he's not expecting something stunning for the kinda money he's looking to spend, just something tidy that'll be good for commuting.

he would need new cables , new chain,brake pads but with a good clean it could be ridden .

Is a road bike any use?

I have a couple of 21" (and possibly 23") framed ones which are surplus. Definitely at the cheaper end of your spectrum too. Nothing fancy but definitely usable and I'm 6' 4" :shock:
