retro rc cars...............

I had a Mardave Meteor as a 1st car. Almost indestructable & insane fun. My 2nd car was a truck - Tamiya Mud Blaster. I also got a 2nd wind a few years ago at Uni & bought a HPi rally.

Yet another hobby I'd like to get back into.

My RC cars

I have had / still have:

Mardave Mini
Tamiya Thundershot
Tamiya Terrascorcha
Tamiya Avante
Tamiya Avante 2001 - Still own
Tamiya Egress - Still own
Tamiya Manta Ray - Modified - Still own
Tamiya Monster Beetle

Kyosho - Optima Mid - Still own
Kyosho - Big Boss

Schumacher - Cougar
Schumacher - Cat
Schumacher - Procat

I have an old Tamya , and from web site above it is a Thundershot , but instaed of monosuspension on the front , it has double .

all i need is a new speed controller .

Double Shocks factory spec at the front could be a Fire Dragon or a Terrascorcha.

The chassis is deffo a Fire dragon but body shell is more like the thundershot . maybe different spec for different countries as i bought it new .

i upgraded the engine to a trinity i think .

i also have a 1 1/8 petrol car , chassis is from a spanish brand ( cant remember the name ) and engine is an OS .

Does it have yellow oil dampers shocks at the front?.

If it does not and have Coil over springs - I think the shocks were Red or Blue then it could be a Saint Dragon - the body on this looks similar to the Thundershot.

Also does it have adjustable top suspension arms. Fire dragon and Thundershots were fixed. Terrascorcha have adjustable at factory spec.

hay tsc, that tamiya hotshot is hot to trot! wicked third picture dude
Thank you very much, I must get a picture of it now, it's fairly battered these days. I do love it now that the tyres have worn down to slicks, lots of fun on the tarmac track near me, especially in the wet.

If you do get one then I could probably sort you out with some radio gear for the price of postage as I've got loads kicking about.
Thank you very much brocklanders, that is a very kind & generous offer. I really shouldn't as I've spent far too much recently, but if you've got a transmitter & receiver going cheap I'd be happy to buy them off you.

I wouldn't be surprised to see me posting a newly built Boomerang sometime soon.

Look at it, how can I not buy that?:

Cheers chaps.

I'll have a dig about. I know I've defo got a few transmitters and pretty sure I'll have a spare reciever or two.

Love the Egress Andy, it's just like mine (except I've got the 01 Dynatec fitted, not 02).
