I've loved these things since the 80s when I had my first Scorcher.

They're all originals from around 1980, not the new re-release, but I am tempted to buy a couple of those too. 8)

Forgot to tell you lot, I have some retro r/c on ebay at the mo.

Job lot of 3 cars + 1 buggy including TL01 + TS03.
Dynatech 02 motor NOS.

Both auctions finish tomorrow 22/11 and are going cheap! My ebay user name is the same as my retrobike one.

Also thinking about letting my Terra Scorcher and Egress/Avante 2001 projects go so PM me if interested.

I'll get some fresh pics of what's left of my collection up soon when I get chance to have a tinker with 'em. :D

the blue buggy is a sandmaster  i see in the box of bits theres a big spur gear , if it's not damaged it would be worth changing the listing to let people know this as you can't buy them anywhere . and i mean you can't buy them what-so-ever........... :D

or if you want to take it out and sell it to me as a spare then i'd take it :D :D :D :D :D

Bugger, only just seen your post eck. If I'd have seen it earlier you could have had that spur gear. :(

it's cool , if i really wanted it i'd of pm'd you with a silly offer

i have a spare one so to be fair i thought i'd let someone else have a pop at it :D

Wow a superchamp, never seen one before, a super rare beast. I had a Roughrider as my first car and I can't believe it as they have re-released it. I may have to buy one, but £260 it's not a cheap one.

I haved read through the whole thread as yet, but I've still got my RC cars that I had as a teen. They all still go although I haven't had them out in a while...

I haven't got photos but I have the following:

A Tamiya Porsche 959 1/12th Rally car which I got new in 1987 - I raced it a bit and the shell is looking a little tired.
A Tamiya Hornet which I got second hand in 1988. This is pretty original still although at one stage I rewound the motor for a bit more go.
And last of all an 89 Kyosho Ultima Pro which I got in early 1990. This was my race car for a while and I've been toying with the idea of putting some more modern electronics in it and dragging it out to play.

In a way I stopped playing with the RC cars when i got a real car in early 1990 and spent my time and money making that go better...

And call me sad, but i still have all the boxes and packaging all my RC gear came in to.

Same goes for my Lego, but thats a difference story ;)

I'd be up for that. Would you mind if I brought the SRBs? :D

(The RR might well have its diff fitted by then along with Dark Impact shocks like the Scorcher  ......they make a HUGE difference)

Unfortunately the Super Champ is in bits at the moment undergoing a complete rebuild with alloy butterfly chassis etc.
