Hi everyone, ive got a mens Raleigh Esquire, I think its from the 1970s but not sure, its got dynamo lights with the dynamo being in the back wheel, any ideas on age please? Thanks

It will have a frame number on the bottom bracket or on the seat tube under the seat area.

Starting with N, then another letter, the next will be a number for the year eg 3 = 1793

Is it coffe coloured metallic?

Thanks Shaun, it turns out its a 1979, and yes, its like a gold colour with chrome mudguards back and front. Think I may have got a bargain as I just paid £20 for it.

That's made my day thanks Shaun, I thought id found a bargain, and yeah, its in really good condition for its age. Caught an old chap taking it to the tip cause he cant ride it anymore. Had it off him before he got in the gate

clean that up polish the chrome etc.. & that at least 50-60 bucks worth if you sell it on so you have more than doubled your money...... nice find.
