6 months ago a group of forum members from What Mountain Bike Forum* decided to build mountain bikes from all the spare parts we had lying around and two full bikes have been built from them, a retro steel Rockhopper, and a Hardrock.

Both will be raffled off shortly with all proceeds going to charity.

The winner gets to choose which bike they want, with the other as second prize.

Two charities have already been decided, where the initial builder and organiser got to choose: myself and Carrie Walton, where the charities reflect two causes close to us: The Neuroendocrine Tumour Foundation (I was diagnosed with a NET in 2003) and the Foundation for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (Carrie's 21 month old niece passed away on Christmas day last year).

However as a second bike has managed to be built, it has been decided that the final charity will be added, which will be polled from a list suggested by UK-MTB forum members. The list is finished, what remains is to vote!

Here is a link to the bikes:

The poll will finish in 7 days, upon which final details of the raffle will be released. It would be very much appreciated if you could vote on a charity, and maybe even buy a ticket afterwards!

Thanks for reading this.
