One suggestion, no one has made yet, (well, RockiMtn eluded to it), build it up; use spacers for now, before committing to the cut-down. Have your wife ride it, to see if she takes a liking to it. If so, commence the build. Maybe even sent it to TT himself for paint and finish![]()

Fork: As previously observed, this F and F is the best match you are gonna get, so cut and rethread and get them painted at the same time
The real question is: Who gets to decide on colour? You ir the Mrs?
