I've seen some fantastic restorations on this site, some evoke brilliant memories of garish licra/ paint combinations from when I was 'yoof.
I've decided to restore my '93 Zaskar LE to as near original as dammit (or at least with original retro fit parts from the time).
I've found the original Cr-mo front loading stem, I've got the original groupset (except the wheels as I have the Hope/Mavic that I got built almost straight away).
I've also found the black XT cantis that came with the bike.
I've decided to use Sithlord's Tange Switchblades instead of Mag 21's
Question is - how much is too much?
I still need some amberwall tyres, original '93 graphics and some black XT 110 BCD chainrings both sadly seem to be made of unobtainium.
 hmmm...
