Rescued.. Alpinestars Al-Mega DX

Cheers guys.. thanks for the feedback. I've just ordered some skinwall Panaracer Pasela road tyres as going to be using it as a commuter. Despite being slicks they're nice looking tyres with the bonus of being amberwalled.

I'm also considering replaced the Logic crank with a DX one to complete the DX groupset. I'm guessing it was replaced when bike was new as were the STI shifters (the one's on there currently are XT; they probably should be DX).

Luckily there are no signs of cracking on the tubes - in fact the frame appears to be in pretty good nick. I'm picking up another Al-Mega from Somerset next week so I'll be sure to check for cracks on that one.

Hopefully I should get some spare time this week to get cracking on the Al

Like I said at the start of the thread I'm pretty new to RB... but it's definitely been established early on that Steve has a serious liking for the 'Stars'. Mind you I can see why... I drooled over them myself BITD and now I finally have one; well what can I say.... I love it!!
