I am not going to bother with it, apart from now shop at their competitors, I mean, I had £2800 in my pocket

I thought you were complaining a couple of weeks ago that you couldnt afford meat silver

Strange that

Should have said something.

And you were behaving pretty suspiciously so you can't blame the shop guy.

Tell me the next time you go shopping i'll help you spend the money
pure madness walking around with that sort of cash

i guess the guy was only doing his job. as for the thief. something sarcastic to your watcher would have sdone the trick nicely.

If you were just in there looking for something he had no reason to follow you. And if he got shirty when you confronted him about it hes not being very professional. He should have said something like , We've had reports of you looking suspicious from another customer or somthing.

So imho. Stuff em. The service at B&Q is appaling anyway, My local one has a line of tills and no one to man them , You have to go thru the stupid auto machines that crash if you try to scan anything.... Very poor.

How would he know if someone was in there browsing for something to buy or browsing for something to steal?

The OP said the assistant objected to the tone of the confrontation. As is his right, if he were spoken to in a negative way (and judging by the OP's posts on here, I can't for a second imagine in person he would be upbeat and positive)..

Retail would be brilliant if not for the public

Theft is theft......if you spoke to someone in a confrontational manner,as the b and q guy "did" then that person knicked your bike...would that be ok :?

according to your logic,yes.......

That is part of the reason that prices go up....

As to b and q,I dont shop there,if the service is apalling go elsewhere and they will soon feel the pinch.....

The reason the service is "very poor" is probably because prices are artificially cheap because people constantly want things cheaper.....if you pay more the service will probably be better........

I use the local timber merchant and he may be more expensive but will bend over backwards to help you out...

anyway if you are condoning theft you are no better than a thief...

If you've got £2800 for your house I wouldn't dream of going into B&Q!!! Seriously, their products are poo and can be found cheaper elsewhere...

As regards to being followed? Sod 'em!!!

Theres a massive difference between condoning something and not doing something about it.

I dont condone MPs lavish expenses, but I did nothing about it, same bankers bonuses, etc, etc I just get on with life rather than intervene to protect big corporations or those that are able to look after themselves. however if someone was thieving personal belongings, then that may be a different matter
