Removing grips in 1 piece

If you haven't lost the thin nozzle for the can a bit of WD, GT85, Lithium Grease if you've got any.
Poor mans choice as always and my preferred option, thumb a bit of spit in and work the grip until you can get more phlegm in. Don't worry you can wash your hands after and treat the grips to a soapy dip too, they'll come up a treat with washing up liquid.

I've always sprayed more hairspray in, works a treat and you don't need to clean a load of GT85/WD40 off before you put the new ones on. Thin screwdriver between bar and grip, spray a bit of hairspray in and work the grip loose. Simples.
Apparently you can push loads of zip ties in and it eventually pulls off . I generally use gt85 , no need to clean it off after as it's whats going to be fitting the grips too ; although I almost always give the grips a clean in the sink anyway , always filthy with mud and grime .
If the gt85 is out of arms reach I just pull them off . get a good tight grip and twist hard , after a while the heat your putting into it ( feel the grip get soft ) will release it from the bar .
If you want to piss someone off distract them and roll the grip over at the lever end , roll it on itself so it becomes a big rubber donut and finish by manipulating it so it's inside out

I recently used the hairspray I'd bought to put the grips on to get the old ones off. Plastic knife handle under the end, squirt of hairspray and wiggle the knife around the bar. Came off instantly

Incidentally, Elnette (or whatever the heck it's called) now do a travel sized can about 6"x1" - ideal for the toolkit.

Long thin screwdriver with the end rounded off in hot water works for me.

loosen brake lever and then use that to push the grip off. works everytime.
