god it f*cks me off when people do that....

Saw something I wanted, went to make sure I could get it shipped ok, went back to buy it and..... the BIN had been removed..#

f8cking boll*x

Why do people do it ?? is it a case of they get so many questions they figure it must be undervalued so would rather auction it like normal ??

It's unlikely the seller is removing it.

Once there has been a bid and the reserve (if there is one) has been met, then the BIN is automatically removed.

the BIN was $450, the current bid is $0.99 and the BIN has gone.. no reserve ....

doesn't make sense unless the seller decided he could get more....????

BIN automaticly disapeers when some one places a bid. Its not the seller, its the way ebay works.

Here's something eBayers do all the time...

If you got a reply from him and you have his e-mail address (not the [email protected] -means the seller is hiding his e-mail address), then you can try to offer him the original BIN price and see if he ends the auction and sells it to you on the side. I've gotten multiple requests like that in the past.

It's a crappy thing to do for those that are watching / bidding on items, but it's what happens (sometime people bid on things on purpose to get rid of the BIN and see if they can get a bargain or to see how high it sells for). If you pay via PayPal, just make sure you send it as "Quasi-Cash" and don't enter an item number or send payment as an eBay item...eBay owns PayPal so I'm sure they can track it...

It's worth a shot if you really want it.

I've done that a few times - actually one of few 'legit' tactics buyers can use to their advantage. What really f**ks me off is when I am the highest bidder and the seller removes the item for whatever shitty reason they choose from the Ebay 'list of lies'.

yep,i only bid in the last 30 seconds otherwise it just bumps up the price,so if the BIN IS quite low people bid a low price removing the BIN.Did it last week  on some kitchen tilles ,BIN was £50 starting bid was £10 so i bid £10 ,i should had bought them for £50 because they went for £165
