Reflex carbon ALX 79 Easton tubeset

I have the carbon version in my shed and it looks like that :

only the white downtube is carbon .

No, but the three main tubes are alloy wrapped in carbon, a little misleading, and a bit of a sales gimmick, but there we are.

they also had a version with 3 carbon tubes .

They did, and they did an alloy lugged, carbon-tubed one that was pretty similar (and used some of the same tubes) to a C26.

yes , I did think about breaking my frame and selling the downtube as a C26 part .

Reflex was owned by easton , but frame makers complained and they sold the brand to look , who at the time also owned peugeot and Grisley .

so the reflex frames also exist in look , Grisley and Peugeot colours .

the first generation giant cadex's were described as 'aluminium reinforced carbon fibre' which i think is a nicer way of looking at it

i have an eye on this cos its in my neck of the woods at the moment, depends what he thinks the reserve should be. looks pretty rough so hopefully hes not got his head in the clouds

How did you workout it was an 89? |I bought one but have not had time to have a proper look at it yet. Any help about it would more than welcome

Don't think it will be that easy, I think there is the remains of an expert decal :roll:
