I've recently bought this:
...I mainly use the bike for getting to/from work during the week, and for riding local trails at the weekends with my girlfriend. As you can see from the picture, it's a beauty and it's pretty much all original. However I'd prefer to sell the tyres (Kona 'Mr Dirt' and 'The Cleaner' in case anyone is interested
) while they're still in great condition, and get something that rolls a little quicker on tarmac/hardpack without going down the slick route. Unfortunately I can't afford to keep the tyres and buy another set 
What would you recommend? Preferably I'd like something from the same sort of era ('94/'95) but it's not absolutely essential. Ta

Semi slicks could also be a solution for you. Running smooth on tarmac, and giving some kind of traction on the try loose surface. Michelin, Corratec and Ritchey do them BITD
