I know the sun is currently blazing, but during my week in Scotland last week, I did have one wet day (or by Scottish standards, slightly damp), and it got me thinking about jackets.
I have a few jackets, from dhb boil in the bag waterproof to my Castelli weatherproof. I bought the Castelli as it is waterproof and breathable, in truth, the breathability relies almost entirely on a couple of massive zip vents, and last week in 16 degrees and continuous rain, I got as wet from sweat as I would have done from the rain if I'd not been wearing it.
So; is there such a thing as a waterproof breathable jacket for cycling? Or do those of us who sweat like a bucket with a hole in it just have to put up with getting wet and having to continuously wash our jackets after almost every ride.
