Recommend a 29er frame/complete bike!

Thinking of putting gears on mine for mayhem but don't fancy the 40 quid chain device to run it 1x9.

Off topic again I am afraid.....

Mark, a basic bash ring and an "n gear" thing work just as well. The only reason I got the MRP is that I got it free as part of a deal.

Think the N gear is £10 and a bashring (second hand) about the same..

This might be bike-design basics but... The Scandal, Inbred, Singular, etc has the sloping top tube.

Karate monkey looks a bit more "roadie". What are the benefits with a sloping tt other than the obvious safer-for-your b*lls design?

Thinking of using some parts from my mid-range hybrid, a GF Monona, adding new wheels. (and brakes if budget allows)
Riding it to work atm, and sometimes on gravel + road for pure exercise+fun. But on the gravel it feels a bit out-of-place, currently sporting semi-slicks though.
