I am sure I have seen pictures on here of the a mech in pieces.

What I have is a medium cage M950 rear mech with shall we say a bit of play in the pallelogram linkages. I need to remove the pins somehow and this is the part I am sure of to take it apart and rebuild with new pins on the mech body shimmed a bits. I know there is little point in doing all of this but as it scrap other wise I have nothing to lose. Also while I am at it I can take a dremel to the body and see how light I can make it. I is currently 200g with some alloy bits.

Any advise on sucessfully removing the pins. One end of the pin has the body covering it so no access I will need to drill there I think.

Without pressing parts out or un peening stuff, this was the limit on my 735 :

Well it the pallelogram pivots that are sloppy I just wondered if there was a good way of getting them out but it seems not. Look like it is scrap well useful for spares I suppose.

In link that I posted is how to refurbish Suntour derailleurs.
There is change of broken parallelogram arm pictured.
But if it's good way of taking apart... :)

This is something I need to do, strip down my xt m737, has anyone done one of these?? Have any pictures or guidance??

For the 737, if it is just a normal strip down. then like the other mechs they are quite easy. Just follow any similar guide or the M950 guide in the links provided.

As for the pivot they are on about here, then it's harder and I wouldn't bother with a M737, there are plenty of them about.
