at the risk of sounding stupid...
I need to remove a (1970s) riveted brass badge from a headtube prior to a fresh powdercoat.
The badge is probably worth as much as the frame, so I don't want to damage either. (Obviously the headtube paint is expendable).
Any tips for painless removal, or should I just crank the black & decker up to high speed and get drilling?
And will a cheapo £10 hand riveter be good enough for refitting afterwards?
