The best XTR rear mech Shimano made, had two of these setups.. :twisted:

You can still run regular XTR shifters; just becomes FingerUp, ThumbDown..

and why are M951 shifters so rare? Standard shifters work the mech, nothing 'back to front'. . .

Ahh, I never thought of using normal shifters, doh!
Never really got on with the idea of rapid rise myself although my wife prefers it (could make some snide comment about women's logic but thought better of it...)
