Real ale`s ??

Hop Back Summer Lightning is a favourite of mine as is Deuchars IPA

Punk IPA from Brew Dog is a scottish beer that won a lot of awards recently - I like it but it is not a standard IPA on the taste front.

Skullspitter from Orkney and Judas from Belguim are nice winter warmers but very strong in flavour and % - 8.5%

Fat Tire Beer is nice and really the only one I have found branded for us, made in the US.
John maybe we should get a sponsor ship deal from them :)

Pete's Wicked is also a nice US beer

Coopers Green from Aus is a favourite of mine

There'll be plenty of choice available this weekend! Can't remember which were good though, so I'll have to do plenty of 'testing' again...

Anything from Ringwood brewery gets my vote - particularly 49er.

Timothy Taylor's Landlord.
Available bottled from Sainsbury's - even in the heathen south.

End of thread.

Knowing a bit about these things, try Youngs Waggle Dance, as above London Pride is a good one! If you can find it in bottles 80 shilling by Caledonian smells of honey and is a belter! All time favorite is Exmoor Gold! And if you in Norwich pop into the Coach & Horses on thorpe road (my old boozer) and get some CHB! Mmmmm!

Used to live a 3 minute cycle from this place......... 8)

Cost me a bloomin' fortune

Exmoor Gold, Adnams Broadside, Summer Lightning were all favs....TT Landlord, London Pride, the list goes on.....Oh and Larkins porter, don't forget Larkins Porter AND Harveys of Lewes .....

Yet to find a bottle which comes anywhere near draft in terms of pleasurability though.

These are a couple of my favourite beers Dave. Give 'em a go!

Poachers' Choice by Badger.

Old Tom, not sure who does that one.

Adnam's Broadside.

Brakspear Triple.

Strong Sufolk.

Dutchy Special.

McEwan's Champion.

Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Mild.

Those who know beer will see a bit of a pattern forming there. Most of these are dark and pretty strong! Excellent flavours though.
