readers bikes -on-sea

All I can come up with is a lake and a small water crossing......do they count???!!!

I'm about a 45min/1hr drive from the coast :(

Yep by the sea, cycle around a set of bays to the city every day.

Three bikes, three different coast lines :)

'scuse the commuter tyres... but well I commute.

The e-stay pic was taken Sunday and it is Winter here. Good stiff breeze tonight mind ;)

I hail from Eastbourne originally, my folks still live there and I pop down [now that I'm in the UK] as often as I can.. Love the sea air..

You can just about catch it back right in the photo.. It was a clear Winters day

The last pic of my roadie is by Balaena Bay (NZ), funnily enough that was taken in Summer on a strangely foggy morning. Sun in Winter fog in Summer crazy Wellington Weather. At least the wind is off today I saw someone get off and push their bike on the way home last night. Me I kept pedalling :)

Ok, it's not the sea, but it is a big-assed lake (and frozen 3ft down)

I tried riding on it which started fine but then found traction totally impossible after I'd stopped (slipped over  ) So getting back to the shore was entertaining to say the least!

It was also so cold that day my gear cables froze inside the housing.....

looks a bit nippy.im a former forces brat and we used to live in west germany .the wind in winter was evil as it came all the way across russia to get to us.it would get down to -30 and snow for months.the lacal rivers would freeze over all the time so it was used as a carpark when hockey matches were held.i miss those days cos i cant stand wimpy british winters .a snowfake would fall and that would be it. no fun there.where was the piccie dun..looks like i would like it there.
