I was wondering how many of the vulnerable people who were offered assistance in preparing for the switch over are now being forgotton now that they are forcing a massive retune. I know my grandparents will struggle to figure out how to do it. 2 different TV's using 2 different remotes and 2 different on screen interfaces, for a couple in their mid-late 80's who are not technically minded at all.

I'll be seeing them in early October so I'll fix it for them but I wonder how many people will be left behind.

I think the way we have been offered "choice" through the digital switchover is a joke.

I'm not a prude or anything, but the late night sex chat stations are wrong, and should not be allowed to continue. The same goes for gambling stations.

If your lucks in your ITV3 and 4 reception may actually get worse.

Lets hope idiots don't get their way with FM.

Well the main point is the government forcing Channel5 to move onto the same frequencies as the other 4 main channels so now everyone gets to watch Gadget Show.
The rest is by and by though it is nice to see late night striptease shows moved away from everything else and not just on channel below the children's channel.
I still see no point in making way for HD channels (which will require people to buy a new box, even for your freeview TV's). As all it's doing is bunch the rest of the channels up, increasing compression on them and making it quality worse for most, so a few can have slightly better quality  ).

Personally I wish they would hurry up the actual digital switch over so I can then receive all channels without them dropping in bad weather (or really good weather  )

Done. Looks fine. Wouldn't touch sky & co Give that Aussie wanker my money. No way.

My dads place gets no digital freeview signal at all, nothing, even with the biggest ariel and boosters, nothing (1/2 mile up the road you can). He is in a dip but does get analogue. He has Sky in the main room, but when analogue is switched off in Novemeber, he'll get nothing in the kitchen or upstairs other than whatever is on in the main room throught the sky sender.

So his only option is to get extra sky boxes with lots of extra ££££... stupid.

Dont have to give him anything, i use an old sky box and dish and get all the free channels without the subscription, with the added bonus of the user friendly menu system.
