Rattly Pedals [modern stuff]

I have a pair of atomlab aircorp pedals[Yes,very nice ]
Problem is they dont have bearings,not a problem in itself but it makes servicing a nightmare.
The nightmare is-which bit is causing the problem :? .Ive replaced the O-rings and its tightened things up a bit ,but theres still about 1mm play side to side.and a little less in-out type play
CRC have replacement axles ,spacers/o rings etc,but which is causing the problem.
Theres too much side play to make me think replacing just the spacers and o rings would solve it,more likely either the bushings or the axles themselves,as i dont know if these bushings are replaceable[one fell out so they're not that tight a fit and maybe can be replaced]

Last option could be to wrap a thin single layer of foil around the axle and hope that works,at least it could suggest replacing the axles would solve the excessive play
I have emailed atomlab,but i probably wont find out their 'known maintenance issues' for a couple of days since its the weekend

Does anybody else use these pedals and how have they got on with them,does my problem sound familiar :?

I have some similar but they are clear so you can see the bushings , not sure what to do to stop your slop but if your struggling and it could help I might be able to come up with a pic of mine through the pedal . Photobucket has been ignoring my pictures lately though .
