that fork won't fit the frame, steerer tube is too long. it's for the medium frame...

No, you cant cut MC1 forks....

You must cut it in the middle, and then weld pieces back together...

If you cut it from top, then you cut place where upper bearing is.

So the problem is the upper bearing, that one is fixed from what i understand,..

yes, that ring at the upper end of the steerer tube is the seat of the upper bearing. hence the steerer tube length is frame size specific. if you cut the steerer tube shorter you will loose the bearing seat. you might be able to custom machine a bearing seat and put it at the right location but the inner diameter of the steerer tube tapers larger towards the bottom and thus you probably wouldn't have enough steerer tube left to properly thighten the MC1. imho it's not worth the hassle and the risk of destroying a nice fork is too large.

Picked it up yesterday.
Really nice,...has some scratches, but fine.
I hate the spin rear wheel so when the CK wheelset for the Serotta is finished the Spox will go into this one,..

I spoke to the kind seller and he bought the frame from someone in Amsterdam,..I HAVE LOOKED FOR THE EXACT SAME BIKE 5 YEARS BACK!!! :shock:
I know the guy he bought it from,...

5 years back that seller asked to much for it,.and i remember he had the rigid fork aswell but he sold that one seperate,..
