RANT ALERT!- W***kers on eBay

Seems like a good place to air my most recent 'muppet' on e-bay. Might even be someone from this site... dunno.

I'm selling my Chameleon frame, with one day to go and 15 bids I get a message asking if I will do a BIN. This annoys me for two reasons, 1. It shows a total lack of respect for all the other e-bayers who have put their bids in and are willing to take their chances, 2. The offer was low. Conversation as follows..

Muppet...
"Hi Mate,
would you accept a buy it now, cash on collection for 90£
Kind Regards"

Me...
"No"

Muppet...
"Hi,
I was intending to submit another bid, but as your blunt one word response suggests that you are likely to be dismissive of another reasonable offer. i am somewhat reluctant to profer £200 which i feel it may have been wortth. I hope your sale goes well and the recipient of the item finds dealing with you more palatable. Kind regards in the spirit of EBAY friendship .
Kindest Regards
Don. "

Me...
"Profer what you like, the fact that you think it is worth £200 but offered me £90 says more about you than my one word response says about me. If I'd have accepted your offer I would not be being fair to all the people that have already bid. By the way, the last one of these sold on e-bay for less than £150 so £200 would have been as daft an offer as £90. And for the record, the recipient of the frame will find me a pleasure to deal with as they'll have won it fairly :)"

For Sellers, You can also mention in the auction that positive feedback will be listed for the buyer after positive feedback is given. Everyone seems to be on the hustle for their 100% and bigger numbers, so don't give buyer feedback until you get it.

I'm sorry, but thats total bollox. If I pay for something promptly upon completion of auction, I have completed my part of the deal. Why should I then have to wait for feedback until I have recieved the item? This is against the whole point of the feedback system.
The new system is a joke tho I must admit. I just do as has already been suggested and leave a response as 'positive' feedback.
Maybe we should start our own auction site. I suggest bikebay.co.uk

Did you follow your suggested link? Those motor bikey chaps have it already.

I think the new system is silly too, even though i do mainly buying rather than selling. I don't think its fair to the seller.
