RANT ALERT!- W***kers on eBay

I agree with you here; thats a valid point.

I thought so too Pickle, think being sent 2nd class was what really made me cross
I let him know I was going to leave negative, he had 100% feedback and sent me the difference back, so I left neutral in the end.

Perhaps the new feedback rules could be changed back with the proviso that a seller has to leave feedback once the payment is received/banked. They changed it because buyers were afraid to leave negative in case the seller retaliated with similar.

(and thanks for the Marin vote :D )

Regarding the seller leaving feedback, any seller you left neg for just left neg in return, even if you paid immediately and you never received the item etc.

Now it is too far the other way...

Can you leave a note next to the feedback still? You used to be able to write stuff like, "first class plonker who thinks Royal Mail deliver on a Sunday."

You can no longer give 'tit for tat' return feedback- part of Pol Pot eBays 'improved' experience.

I've just remembered about a few other feedback experiences- last year I bought a vintage jacket of some halfwit powerseller who gave me a neg. feedback rating- was something like ' no payment, no response, no good!' I just had to reply- 'Payment sent, no response needed- jacket very nice, comfy and quickly despatched you moron'

Another escapee bought a SAAB Turbo from me two years ago and left me neg feedback because I would not accept £150 deposit and 36 post dated £50 cheques for it- said that he had tried to come to an agreement but I was unreasonable. Incidentally he wanted to collect the car that week.

Priceless muppetry

yeah, that's the problem ebay was having and i guess that's why they changed the feedback procedure. I gave a neutral feedback to a seller and they retaliated and gave me neg feedback assuming it would hurt his rating, which it didn't.

when i look to buy, it's not for just 100% seller. anything above say around mid to high 90% is good with me. there's no way you can satisfy everyone 100% of the time. but i do give credit to those seller who have a lot of transactions and do maintain 100%!

I din't mean tit for tat. There used to be a way of putting a comment below the feedback you got left, explaining that the person who left the feedback was of unsound mind.

I find a lot of the time ( and it's how I sort the bankers from the w@nkers ) a reasonable response to a very bad feedback works in the seller's favour, showing the muppet up for the true clothead he or she is.

That's the reason for the rant. Sellers can not leave neg feadback for buyers OR respond to neg feedback left by buyers by adding a response bellow it- no chance to stand up to these tossers.

As an update, muppet 2 has sent 2 messages this afternoon- 1st to aplologise for they feedback and to say he did not know that the ring should be like that, if he could he would alter the feedback. I replied and said that's OK- no hard feelings. An hour later he sent a message to say ' I want a full refund and stop wasting my valuable time!
this guy must be on drugs.
