RANT ALERT!- W***kers on eBay

your right, ebay WAS good when it started but as with anything that becomes popular the knobs/theives come along and bugger it all up! not to mention the raping from fees and paypal, i haven't ever used paypal, always cheque or cash for me, they get their fees why should they get some of the sale to?

this might be abit of a jump subject wise but it's one of the reasons i decided to leave the bike trade, people. you get bad feedback from some idiot about a chainring and a rear mech, why? basically because they are ignorant of bike products but think they know alot because they've been riding a while, i had the same issue in the trade, because of the internet sites from wiggle, crc, ebay etc people gradually stop believing what you say in the shop because "i read somewhere . . ." and assume that because it's written down that it is always correct.

basically as an ebay seller you have become a "shop" and you therefore have "customers" and frankly customers can be cu**s!

not that anything i have just said helps but it's just an observation i've thought about for a while now.

regarding the bad feedback though, haven't used ebay to sell for a while but i knew about the changes, can you not email them through ebay and explain you feel upset about the feedback and give reasons as to why and see if they can remove or alter it? they might be numpties but sometimes a polite email to clarify the product details can help and then hopefully get you your good feedback back.

good luck :)

The postage was supposed to be next day 1st class for 4 quid and it came a good deal later 2nd class for £1.63 in a used padded bag.

I agree with you here; thats a valid point.

HOWEVER, since having my personal Ebay account feedback ruined for speaking up about the very same problem, I use my wifes 100% feedback account and keep my gob shut

Best kick off i've heard for ages and you're spot on about evil bay mate! Have you ever considered doing stand up?

i really don't understand why ebay removed the sellers capabilities of leaving feedback for buyers. there are just as many chances that a buyer is an arse as a seller.

i make purchases on ebay, but have not and am hesitant to sell. too much crap to be worried about. as well you have no control to who you end up selling, since it is an auction. well that's not entirely true, but you can end up with bad feedback and lose to ebay fees.

You can still leave a negative comment - it just shows up as positive feedback till you read it

I have the opposite problem, I paid for somthing from ebay last monday and it still hasn't bloody arrived - I sent the guy a message on sunday and he apologised and said he would send it out fist thing monday. Bollocks.

Regarding the seller leaving feedback, any seller you left neg for just left neg in return, even if you paid immediately and you never received the item etc.

Now it is too far the other way...

Can you leave a note next to the feedback still? You used to be able to write stuff like, "first class plonker who thinks Royal Mail deliver on a Sunday."

Oh yes! found some old fuel tanks to shoot next- just got to put some fresh petrol in and finish drawing the faces :D Click-Click BOOOOM!

And the sun has just come out- not a bad day after all!

You could start with "NEGATIVE FEEDBACK - "

Something that stands out to someone scanning an eye down their list.

To be honest, I think feedback is overrated anyway. People seem to get hung up about losing 100% but at the end of the day it's only an online auction site. I've had a couple of negative feedbacks in the past (people not reading/understanding what they're buying) but it doesn't stop people buying.

I like the anonymous star rating system that ebay have put in for sellers as this is a good indication - they should put something similar in for buyers. The only problem is that anything below 5 stars would be perceived to be bad, whereas it's actually 3 stars that's the target.

Probably p1ssy 'cos they had nappy rash. Phukking infants. Boils my p1ss how we, let me repeat that....WE have to be nice to these failed medical experiments because they have no bloody social skills!!

" That's not as I thought it would be. Shall I contact the seller and negotiate? Shall I phuk, I'm going to throw all my rusks out the pram and sh1t up the good name of an ebayer until someone wipes my @rse! "

Find them and chin them.

For Sellers, You can also mention in the auction that positive feedback will be listed for the buyer after positive feedback is given. Everyone seems to be on the hustle for their 100% and bigger numbers, so don't give buyer feedback until you get it.

This will become a bigger and bigger problem until ebay removes their heads from their butts and recognizes the auction process as a two way street and a symbiotic relationship.
