Here's a fun project. I bought this with a few other things and have decided to keep it and rebuild it, I'm really taken with the fork and the way the whole bike will look.

So here it is as i got it, fairly stock build, but in dire need of a clean. I'm finding more grease here than pretty much any project i've done before. The seatpost is also stuck, but that shouldn't take too much work to rectify.

This won't be a long build thread, i'm not going too far out on this one. Instead I'm going to build it up roughly to catalogue spec and its already got most of the bits.

Can't wait to ride it.

Update.

Stripped it all down and cleaned everything thoroughly, and started to put it all together. I've freed up the seatpost and re-insterted it with plenty of copper grease. The XT kit on it is all in good condition except the cranks and one of the shifters is buggered. I've got replacements on the way.

The fork was removed and all cleaned and bearing re-greased.

Changed it onto some proper wide tan wall tyres, the Ritchey Zmax, my favourite. Looks much sharper now.

More pics as i build it up more.

8) nice

They build into light bikes, would make a great race bike as quite stiff.
