Hi guys and gals, what a fantastic wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm you have on here, I have just started to get back on a bike after many years of lazy driving. Just purchased what i think is a raleigh record sprint sxc from a friend and love it, unfortunately he decided it looked grubby and unloved so peeled the silver decals off and resprayed it all black, not brilliant but OK, ride's nice.
My friend says the decals were raleigh and sxc in silver and on top tube were a lot of silver decals he couldn't make out as a lot of letters missing, unusually the rear brake cable runs inside the top tube or maybe not unusual for certain models. Please excuse my grammar had hell of a job trying not to type in Barnsley speak tha noz. Regards chrom
