Whilst hunting for an early 80’s road bike project I happened across a Raleigh Memphis mtb, which seemed to be in excellent condition and was insultingly cheap. Inevitably it is now in my garage. It reminds me of the Raleigh mustang I had as a kid, but has a lilac frame, printed with the number 8196390.
Does this make it a 1988 model? I couldn’t find much online about mtb numbering or the Memphis as a model, so I’m hoping someone here can help with some info on its history whilst I work out what I’ll use it for!
