For Sale Raleigh Clubman

Fragglerock

Retro Newbie
For Sale is my dad's Raleigh Clubman with Reynolds 531 tubed frame. Beautiful red frame and decals.
He brought the bike before l was born (1985) and l've never known him ride it. Unfortunately heath reasons now means he will never ride the bike.
I have the original sales receipt and the mechanic that built the bike.
I have ridden it around the car park (about 8 years ago) as l thought l might use it for some Retro bike sportive's but never got round to them. Its been in my garage for the past 8years unridden.
Not sure of the exact size - I ride a modern Size M/54 road bike and would say its slightly larger than that - A medium-large

The bikes in very good condition. Dry stored in his shed, it has the original tyres on it! There are unfortunately some small storage scratches on the paintwork that l have tried to capture in the pictures.
The bike rack was added but never used.
The seat tube is well greased, is free and not seized in the frame.

Campagnolo 6speed rear mech, front mech and down tube shifters.
Super custom cranks with Double chain ring with 52T large ring. Oil on the rings was from the ride around the car pak
The brakes are Raleigh 610 Weinmann
Wheels are Weinmann 17 x 630-27x1.1/4". Very good condition, no signs of any braking marks.

Prefer to sell as a complete bike,
Located near Southam, outside of Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
I travel to Birmingham for work so could potentially bring to work (M6-Jct6)
£350 ono.

That is a lovely, amazingly original bike. I think you’re right size-wise it looks like a 56cm or thereabouts.

I hesitate to comment on price because it’s somewhat poor form to do so, but I do have to say that the overall market for second hand bikes is very flat at the moment, so you may have to be prepared to be very flexible price-wise.

Anyway, good luck with the sale, I’m sure it can find a good home where it will be appreciated one way or another.

That is very nice and they do ride rather nicely as well usually
Not looking to see how far Southam is away from me as already know
