Retro Newbie
Hi , Im new to this forum just thought Id show my retro ride, the guys at work have all got flash bikes, I wanted something different and Retro to turn up at work on. I bought an Old Raleigh city off Ebay, Its 25 yrs old. I planned on stripping it down and going the singlespeed route, but once I stripped and cleaned the bike, I was amazed the condition. I was going to ditch the muguards but these are near mint , there werent even any stonechips on the inside of them, The wheels were original steel and chrome, the chrome was past it so I purchased some alloy wheels with the original Sturmey Archer 3 speed hubs, I replaced the handlebars that had been painted with Hammerite. new tyres, new saddle new cables and white outers. and new brake blocks. new grips and champagn cork bar ends
