Raleigh Avanti Rare Retro Mountain Bike 1989

I think i bought this in 1989, it was top of the range model in those new 'mountain bike' things (they will never last!!)
531 tubing, xt equipment, this was top of the line then.

I used this for trail riding for a while, and then converted to road use bike for quick trips to the pub.

Mine is a 1987 model (karma zero price - but for cost of postage from this forum as a bare frameset)- except I 'modified' it into my 2017 shopping/load lugging bike :roll:

A bonzer frame - love the laid back 72º seat tube and long chainstays + I'd happily tour around the world on it
