Raleigh activator...

yeah
i'm gonna use a gt sts at some point

i have an mbk barrouder (i think) i was gonna build for this
might get back to it , thinking breezer no1 style mods

get your local area guys to run one in tandem with a rideout
we should get a national points table going i reckon

think 20" raliegh shoppers are the "control" bikes tho
ask velo he's the oberfurer for it

Downhill of Death, National points series, this is getting out of control

You need a steep hill with a dirt road down it, nothing too technical.
A rubbish bike with rubbish brakes.
First one down alive wins, simples

Activators are bad but there not rubbish enough for Downhill of Death, think Raleigh twenty/Grifter/Chopper/10speed racer etc

Ignore Mikee, well known trouble maker that one

i'd pay £20 for the bike just to destroy it, the less activators in the world,
the better.

woooahh
dont diss the actvator (man)

they were rubbish , but they were also a waypoint on our mtb history
and as such worthy of a small place in our side of things

i will buy an activator (the full suss one) and kit it out with period parts as i see fit and ride it at a national meet

i respect your opinion, but i personally think the activator is just junk,
and if it had never been created the mtb's would be no different.
it was just a cheap and cheerful way of raleigh getting into the suspension market.
but on the other hand, i respect anyone who would actually take one of these monstrosities on a national ride.
no offence meant. just not a big fan of mass produced pig iron.

The second shittest bike ever made.

Activator 1 is the 2nd shittest, Activator 2 is the 1st shittest. The sequel was unsurprisingly worse than its predecesor.
Weirdly though I'd like an Activator 2, madness

Correct!

I'm planning on buying one at some point. I've been planning on fitting one with XTR, decent forks, disc brakes etc for ages.
Anyone know if the headtube is 1.125?

Its either 1 inch or the slightly larger BMX 1 inch but even with the lightest best kit which on an activator would be silly it'll still be double butted lead
