RALEIGH 531 TEAM TI REPLICA

This is the start of my lastest project, a Raleigh Team Ti Rep. Ive had an old 531 tubed Raleigh frame sat in the garage for some while, and with the Banana rep having a bent seat stay, it was time do something about it. The plan is to swap over all my modern running gear once the frame has been painted. Please don't crucify me, but i love the retro look but the ease of a modern groupset. These are the first 3 pics after being semi shot blast (unit broke down) and a couple of hours rubbing down by hand.

Just a few decals to remove and flat down before being shipped of the the bodyshop.

Is Campags silver polished Athena 11 speed gruppo going on this? as it would look good.

I agree, Campag would suit this very well. The bodyshop that paints my frames is an automotive bodyshop, the quality of his work is awesome, if this turns out to be a sunner then i will treat it to some new Campag and black h plus son wheels.

Just out of curiosity are you going for a yellow or black head tube?

I personally think the black head stock looks better suited to the colour scheme, with yellow old school bar tape.

Final frame pics before being sent off to the paintshop this morning. The only problem i've got is with the seatpost tube, ive bought a 27.2mm diameter post but its a nats whisker too thick, i thought all 531 tubes were 27.2mm??
