I've got a pack of RAL colour swatches which I can hold against my DH's and see which is closest. I'll get back to you.

I checked some samples against my forks, here are the results.
The forks;

The samples that are the closest matches;
RAL 3004 “Purple Red”

RAL 3011 “Brown Red”

RAL 3003 “Rubine Red”


Something is lost in the picture taking process, and for me RAL 3003 Rubine Red was the closet match.

RAL 3020 “Traffic Red” was mentioned, which looks like this;


It would be good if someone else was able to do the same process with another pair of DH’s as 26years of exposure, grim and damage will no doubt have an influence on what the colour looks like now.

I recently used this process to choose a colour for the stem on my Yeti to match the frame which has some heavy fading, and was really pleased with the result despite noticeable differences in different areas of the frame.
